High Speed Steel Rolls (HSS Rolls)
HSS rollsmaterial contain higher alloying element of V, Cr, Mo, Nb etc.it has excellent wear resistance, good thermal cracking resistance and biting properties. During the rolls application, a long-lasting and compact oxide film forms on the roll surface which provides the rolls with excellent surface quality. Such rolls have excellent hardening properties with the roll barrel hardness 80-90HSD and the hardness drop within the work layer less than 1HSD. The usage of HSS rolls can significantly reduce the roll’s grinding operation, consumption and turnover, while improve the rolling precision and the surface quality of the rolled products. HSS rolls have a broad prospect of application.
